Bringing the Sanctity Back to Marriage

Senators Larry Craig (R-ID) and David Vitter (R-LA) are cosponsoring Senate Joint Resolution 43, also known as the "Marriage Protection Amendment." The new constitutional amendment would limit marriage to "the union of a man and a woman," a concept that has escaped both senators.

Senator Larry Craig was arrested in a Minneapolis airport restroom, charged with lewd conduct for allegedly soliciting sex from a [police]man in the next stall. Senator Vitter was named as a client of Deborah Jeane Palfrey, known as the DC Madam.
