God Closes a Door on Sarah Palin

Convicted felon Republican Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska has finally lost his bid to keep his senate seat to his Democratic opponent Mark Begich.

Some had speculated that had Stevens won, he might have somehow been replaced by Sarah Palin. Palin had recently told reporters,

Putting my life in my creator's hands -- this is what I always do. I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door ... And if there is an open door in '12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door.

Tony Perkins, of the Family Research Center sent me a tearful newsletter this morning titled The GOP's Social Insecurity. Mr. Perkins tries to calm a jittery GOP ready to dump the albatross of conservative Christians, like the loon in the video above. Tony wrote,

With the exception of Gov. Sarah Palin and some hollow overtures by the Democratic Party, the 20 percent of voters who cited "moral values" as their first or second priority in this election had no real horse in this race. Maybe that explains why believers were less active in this election cycle. More than four million Americans who go to church more than once a week and voted in 2004 stayed home on November 4. Those voters would have made up half the difference between McCain and Obama.

So even if all the churchgoers had voted the GOP still would have lost.

A Seven-Year-Old Explains What's Wrong with Sarah Palin

I hate even acknowledging Sarah Palin's sorry existence but couldn't pass this up, from Planet Stas, written by a seven-year-old.

Governor Palin believes the world is 6000 years old. This is absurd. This is not a rational belief. This is a mistake. Scientists, experiments and evidence have shown this to be completely false. Therefore, she is not rational. If she is not rational, she should not be allowed to be President or Vice President.

A University of Texas poll found that 23% of Texans believe Obama is a Muslim. This is most likely due to emails like the one quoted below, sent from a cousin of mine from Texas. Actually, it probably wasn't TO me as the subject line was Calling All True Believers. I'd asked her politely, months ago, to stop sending me political forwards as I did not share her views and she agreed. I don't know if she sent this one to be by accident, or out of frustration, but I received it just the same on Saturday.

The email harps on flag pins, and mosques in America supported by Saudi terrorists, the loss of public prayer and ten commandment idols, and whips up to the ultimate destruction of America. What can the good Christian do?

We are great at passing stories and pictures around the internet, but where are our prayers and prayer warriors praying to stop this tide of Barak Obama? We can bring our country back to its Christian roots and stop the undermining of our country by Muslims. We can stop our country from being 'under Allah' but we must begin to pray; to pray as [if] our country and our lives depended on it because they do. We can stop all these atrocities against God's commandments that have taken root in our country through something as simple as sincere prayer, a call to God to deliver us, to protect us from the evil that is upon us.

Well, excuse me all over the place. In addition to making another financial donation to Obama's campaign my husband and I went to a call center and spent the afternoon calling undecideds in Indiana and North Carolina. Somehow, in my godless atheism, I expect this to be more fruitful than prayer. Oh, and I replied to my cousin:

You know I love you, but what you are sending out to others in these emails is not true. You are bearing false witness against your neighbor. Our God is a God of Truth and lying is a sin. This email you're forwarding to others is of the father of all lies. You cannot lie for God and call it a good thing.

Four years ago my husband and I adopted a nine-year-old boy. He'd been taken from his biological family when he was three and shuttled through six different foster homes in six years.

The three of us have worked very hard to create our family. Our son has added to our lives in ways we could never have imagined. We love him very much.

This year our son, who is now thirteen, came out to us. Our son is gay. We are fine with this.

The amazing thing about our boy is that he goes to school every day and lives his life true to himself. He's a happy child. He writes poetry. He skips. He's a track star. He excels at algebra. He loves the Stylistics. He has a blinding smile. Most of the kids at his school love him. But some of the boys call him "faggot." Yesterday our usually sunny boy, all five feet four inches of him, came home staring at the ground, visibly upset. Some of the boys at school were taunting him with cries of Yes on 8, the California proposition aimed at eliminating the right to marry for those who want to marry another of the same gender. The boys were punished by the school, but the damage was done.

Who are these followers of Jesus Christ who would tell my son, taken from his family at three, and homeless until he was nine, that he cannot marry and have a family of his own?

Why? What is the defect that renders our son a second class citizen without the rights to love another fully and openly, with the same privileges and protections afforded to others?

Jesus spoke in no uncertain terms about these pious people in Matthew 23.

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Please vote against Prop 8. Prop 8 does not protect children. Proposition 8 crushes children. It tells some of our children that they are not as good as other children, that they don't deserve marriage and family.

Brandon McClelland, 24, was dragged to death beneath a truck driven by two white men in Paris, Texas last month. McClelland was black. The site of his death is about 200 miles from the location where James Byrd was murdered in a similar manner ten years ago.

This happened September 16, 2008. Charles Ryan Crostley, 27, and Shannon Keith Finley, 27, have been arrested.

Decoding Michelle Bachman

Michelle Bachman, congresswoman from Minnesota, appeared on Hardball the other night calling for an investigation of all the members of Congress to see who has "pro-" and "anti-" American sentiments. Trying to salvage what is left of her career she released this commercial.

Once again our nation is at a crossroads and it's a time for choosing. We could embrace government as the answer to our problems or we could choose freedom and liberty. I may not always get my words right, but I know that my heart is right, because my heart is for you, for your children, and for the blessing of liberty to remain for our great country. I'm Michelle Bachman and I approve this message.

First, there's the crossroads, and a time for choosing. Consider 2 Corinthians 6:2

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

It's critical that you choose her now, as the end is nigh.

Second, consider her comment about government as an answer to our problems. Christians depend on God alone. The only purpose for government is forcing God's law on unbelievers. Consider 1 Peter 5:7,

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Then there's, "My heart is right," religious code for "My heart is right with God." In other words, she's saying that she meant everything she said and is offering this faux apology for "the world," and remains true to every vile and nasty thing she accidentally revealed to the secular among us.

There's no verse for this, but "getting your heart right with God" is common usage among Christians. Type it into teh Google and see.

Christians know these verses by heart. Bachman's speech was aimed directly at her Christian constituents. She walked a tightrope between placating them and appearing to apologize to the godless. This kind of deception is approved by Bachman, and by Christians. Lying is fine as long as it's for Jesus, unborn babies, and against the homos and blacks.

Here's one verse with which Bachman may not be familiar,

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Clearly, marriage is the union of one man and one woman (at a time) with the express purpose of creating children.

There's no reason for old people to either get, or remain, married. They can't have children. All they are doing is indulging their venal lusts (eww! ick!) They parade their relationships around, flaunting their lifestyles, grossing out their grandchildren with their deep gum kisses and fumbling fondling.

Normal humans are naturally repulsed by the idea of old people having sex. Sure, they pretend to be like us. They dye their hair, have surgery to tighten their flesh, and take drugs to get and stay hard, or moist. I'm sorry, people, to have to be so graphic, but it's true. Old people can only support the pretense of marriage by taking drugs. These sham marriages support and sustain a drug culture, and they want this paid for with YOUR tax dollars.

My predictions:
The Republicans are floating the idea of Palin bowing out, which she'll do before the VP debate. Her reason will be to care for her infant child. The Republicans will say she was hounded out of the race by leftist elites, which will inflame the base. "Christian persecution!!!!!"

For the "sake of continuity during these perilous (thanks for helping, john) times," or some horseshit like that, Cheney will take Palin's place as McCain's VP. Ehh..., maybe Lieberman.

Palin has served her purpose and will now disappear. She proved the Republicans are feminists and made McCain look lifelike.
