Christian Representative Claims Sarah Palin Sent by God to Defeat the Antichrist Barack Obama

thus speaketh the crackerLet's Let a White Man Speak for Once

James Bramlett, a former employee of CBN and Campus Crusade for Christ, has posted an essay suggesting that God chose Sarah Palin to defeat Barack Obama. The essay has been making the rounds on email.
Barack Hussein Obama has taken the nation by storm. From obscurity, with zero executive experience, or much of any kind, he has vaulted into the position of Presidential frontrunner. It is stunning. On the surface, it appears attributable only to his eloquent oratory and his race. But an invisible factor may be a strong spiritual force behind him, causing some people to actually swoon in his presence. [my emphases]
Obama is popular because he's a black man who speaks well. His tolerance toward others is interpreted as anti-Christian.
Therefore, there is, indeed, another spirit involved. And this spirit has come into our national life like a flood. Last week at Obama's acceptance speech, that spirit exalted itself in front of a Greek temple-like stage, and to a huge audience like in a Roman arena. Omama was portrayed as god-like. His voice thundered as a god's voice.

At the end, Democratic sympathizer Pastor Joel Hunter gave the benediction and shockingly invited everyone to close the prayer to their own (false) gods. This was surely an abomination, but it was compatible with Obama's expressed theology, and Hunter's leftist leanings.
If only we had a white woman to run against this uppity candidate.
Enter Governor Sarah Palin. With incredible timing, the very next day, Sarah Palin also appeared out of nowhere. Her shocking selection as John McCain's running mate stunned the world and suddenly took all the wind out of Obama's sails.

We quickly learned that Sarah is a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian, attends church, and has been a ministry worker.

Sarah is that standard God has raised up to stop the flood. She has the anointing. You can tell by how the dogs are already viciously attacking her. But they will not be successful. She knows the One she serves and will not be intimidated.
The ugly American has come home.

There are way to many whackjobs who believe in imaginary friends. When Obama wins, will he blame it on....SATAN?!

I swear, you just cannot make this stuff up if you tried. Where are these nutjobs from? But once again, I thank James Bramlett for reminding me why I am no longer a Christian. It has been hijacked by a bunch of idiots and thugs.

What worries me is that, when Sarah Palin loses, these same Christian fundamentalists will truly believe that it was Satan's work and will attempt to solve the problem with a bullet. After all, it's what God wanted them to do.

Mr. Bramlett, what did you say God's phone number was?

Hard to tell without the full text of the essay, but it looks like you might be missing a subtext.

Is the minister suggesting that there is a spiritual force behind Obama?

The swooning a product of this force.

Obama, coming out of nowhere, and there being no rational/material explanation for his success--is impelled by this unseen force.

Obama, "god-like" and "thundering" (like Zeus) from his Greek temple. The audience of the Dem Convention like Romans in the Roman arena (watching lions eating true martyred Christians).

That does not look like an essay about race. Or even a good Christian versus an unbeliever.

It looks positively escathological. He's claiming Obama is at best empowered by some demonic force. Claiming Obama is the anti-Christ.

Yikes!

I guess it was God's will, then, that Sarah Palin has demonstrated that she's perhaps the most inept candidate in recent memory. If God really picked Sarah Palin, wouldn't he have made her smarter?

Wasn't Palins church deemed heretical by an international council of Christian churches?

Outside of the grammatical errors, the leaps in logic and the lack of facts i felt it was a fairly mediocre attack. Illiteracy is a curse brought on by the devil and James Bramlett is in dire need of an exorcism. How does this guy manage to function in day to day life without the basic skills required to cross a street? He must have sixteen Guardian Angels following him where ever he roams. Perhaps they can be persuaded to help him find aan English Composition book, a Bible and a clue.

WOW. so you mean to say Jesus was anti-christian because he preached tolerance of others? OH i get it
its not Christianity its Christianity©™®

Somebody with the knowledge, time and the right sense of humor needs to look into the modern implications of the eschatalogical "whore of Babylon". That and the fact that the Palin grandspawn will be born around Xmas time (if I've figured it correctly). Ohhhhhhhhh, scary!!!!!!!!!! lololol

'For once let a white man speak'

Ok, well you know this guy lives in bizarro-land. I have cable TV, all it is is white men speaking....

with forked tongue. As a moderate christian I find it interesting that evangelicals are sooooo un-christ-like.

Yes, the "Obama as anti-Christ" meme has never left us.

Full text of Bramlett's rant can be found here.

Other points not highlighted (in the comments as I write, anyway):

"(Obama) has publicly said that he does not believe Jesus is the only way to heaven." See? He's a heretic! Burn the witch!

"God was not pleased." Because God only agrees with me. And his son is Republican Jesus, like that great patriot Gen JC Christian has pointed out.

My favorite bit? "Palin. In Greek, the word means 'renewal.' (Strong’s 3825)." You know, it's odd. I"m not finding anything that agrees with that translation. On the other hand, according to Google Translation, in Dutch, Palin means "backstop." And apparently in Filipino it means "marin" - I don't get that.

On the surface, it appears attributable only to his eloquent oratory and his race.

Right. It has nothing at all to do with the content of his speeches or anything. I mean, after all the many successes of the Bush Administration, who could possibly want change???

Yeah, must be just his race and eloquence.

For 8 years, the only thing going for Bush was that he was "likeable." Suddenly, voters like a guy who won't cut taxes for the wealthy, and "likeabilty" is now a bad thing. Bramlett, you are a douchebag who is taking advantage of your well meaning financial contributors.

Interesting that he makes a point to bring up Obama's middle name (it's that word again), but no where does he use the full names of Sarah Louise Heath Palin, nor Johnathan Sinclair McCain III. I wonder why that is?

The vitriol and thinly-veiled racism of all this sickens me. People like this Bramlett bring shame to all who would follow Christ--nay, humanity as a whole.

Something occurred to me though. Seeing as this guy's the same breed of batshit-insane Evangelical fundie as Palin, shouldn't he EMBRACE the emergence of the "antichrist" as an omen of the oncoming Rapture that they've wanted for so long and unilaterally supported Israel for?

The fact that Men doesn't have the anwsers is very plain to see. Jesus despised these kind of folks and He also rejected violence as a way of settling dicputes. (Mat. 26:50-53:John 18:36)
Jesus left behind no constitution or canon of civil laws. He took no polititcal stand on the isssues of his day. He taught how to respect for the dignity of others and how to be empathetic, forgiving, and merciful. This guy is "Not a Christian" he's the fellower of the System of todays world which is run by "Satan" himself.

Simply terrifying. Fundamentalist Christians are some of the most vile, evil people on the planet.

The sum of all fundamentalist Christians = "The Antichrist". A bunch of greedy, selfish, and elitist fools.

The Christian "God" is so full of hate. Therefore, his humans are ugly, as well.

The worst thing is that I actually think they are going to win.

If you think their campaigning/supporters are terrifying, wait till McCain is unable to serve out his term due to his age, and Palin is the most powerful person on the planet.

How did all this happen?
