About a year ago I posted on Michael Vick, the Washington Redskins running back who was facing federal charges on dog fighting. At that time he was making a big deal about finding Jesus.
Jesus might not want much to do with Vick, but twenty-two of his dogs have been saved, taken to Utah's Best Friends Animal Sanctuary where they are being rehabilitated. Four of his tortured dogs, Meryl, Georgia, Denzel, and Cherry, will be featured on National Geographic's show Dogtown.
From National Geographic,
In April 2007, the nation was shocked when dozens of traumatized pit bulls were discovered on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vicks property. Follow the journey of four of the most challenging Vick dogs as DogTown helps rehabilitate them.Watch the National Geographic Channel Friday, September 5, at 9:00pm.
Vick is currently serving a 23-month sentence in Leavenworth, Kansas, and is facing bankruptcy. He was suspended from the NFL. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Thanks for the correction. =)
