Marriage in the Future Past

Our one tie to the glorious past is Richard Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" from the opera Lohengrin. Ah..., good pagan, anti-Semitic tradition.

urm, actually lohengrin was from wagner's more christian-ish period. in the opera, Lohengrin is the son of parsifal, keeper of the holy grail, and by his courage, faith and purity he defeats the pagan forces that are oppressing the fair damsel, who, in the third act, does the One Damn Thing she wasn't supposed to do and screws everything up.

though otherwise i agree with you.
